Forever 21 Launches New Line: Twelve by Twelve

| June 29, 2007 11:26 AM | Posted in , , ,

What: Twelve by Twelve, the higher priced line coming to a Forever 21 (and a computer at twelvebytwelve.com) near you.

The Look: More lux than cheap, with most of the pieces still under $100.  Let’s hope it includes a better return policy and cleaner dressing rooms.

What the fashion heads say: “Forever 21 is fast fashion, it’s quick-turn, young and fun,” said Betsy Zanjani, vice president of merchandising for the project, “whereas Twelve by Twelve is a grouping of items designed to go together, to be worn together. It will be a little bit more sophisticated, much more luxury.”

I am glad that they are designing a new line, but
when will Forever 21 start making bigger sizes. I mean, maybe they can add an XL or a 14.

ANYTHING is an improvement on F21’s infamously craptastic quality (or lack thereof). I would gladly pay an extra $20 for a made-in-China-by-little-slave-children top that doesn’t fall apart after two washings.

when i was in high school i didnt mind paying $10 for a shirt that would deteriorate in the wash after all fashion was so fleeting.

I think that this is a way to escape the PETA’s agreement with forever 21, stating that they will never have fur in their stores and all current fur products will be removed.  By the picture, it looks like twelve by twelve uses fur in their clothes.  I guess they will never learn and the PETA will just have to go after twelve by twelve as well.

Ummm, I seriously doubt that “fur” is real.

The clothes are still going to be garbage :(  But I will say that their accessories are cute, they last and the price is right :)

The line is the greatest since sliced bread. When paired with an expensive bag and shoes you will never know that it didnt come from Saks or Niemans.  However I am a true size 16, and there are lots of things that fit me well. Try leggings with a lot of dresses, the look is so chic.  The maxi halter dress they have now comes in black, purple, green. By all three if you can, you wont regret it.  The only thing is they have 4 stores in my city, only one of them offers the line.
