I checked out the house plans over at FreeGreen and it seems pretty cool. I'm currently remodeling my house and designing a green friendly backsplash for my kitchen out of recycled materials. Kinda similar to Freecycle's idea. Thanks for the post ecoistpaige!

Excellent list of resources you provided! Great post! The Green Guide for Everday Living is so helpful. It can feel really tough to live green on a day to day basis.
Another fantastic way to go green on a tight budget is to use coupons for natural and organic food and products. Coupons save you a little bit every time you shop, adding up to a lot of savings when you live the natural & organic lifestyle on an everyday level.
To save on healthy, natural and organic foods and personal care products, printing free coupons from www.mambosprouts.com and signing up for free coupon books is a big help.
Happy saving!

I would like to add www.TintBuyer.com to the list since they inform buyers on the actual ENVIRONMENTAL and FINANCIAL benefits of window films. You will find that people can reduce consumption without any visual effect on their windows. Like most window films are for reducing solar heat gain in the summer, low-e films both block summer heat and improve winter heat retention. Window films are economical and eco-friendly.

Nice list of sites you’ve got to have idea in making your own “green-home”.
