Tried it for my bridesmaid’s dress at a recent wedding.  Didn’t work at all.  Didn’t stick to the dress, didn’t stick to my skin (and I’m not an oily person.)  I would think regular old Scotch double-stick tape would work better, and likely be a lot cheaper!

Hollywood Fashion tape works much better than regular double-stick tape.  Regular tape does not stick to my body for more than 30 minutes.  HFT is stickier and a thicker more “grippable” plastic - it stays in place all day.

They are expensive, but I had good luck with them. Just to be sure everybody stayed in place, I used 2-3 tapes on each side. They’re a little tricky at first, but once you figure out where to place the tape when considering the drape of whatever you’re wearing, they work pretty well.

And do yourselves a favor and use the rubbing alcohol. I forgot I had the tapes on and when I took off my dress, I ripped off all 6 tapes at once with some skin and let out a yelp! I had red marks that were very hard to explain for a few hours after that! :)

Oh - 1 thing I forgot to mention that also works. When I was younger, I used to swipe my grandma’s roll-on adhesive that was meant for holding up stockings. It worked really well at holding up my strapless bra during a night of partying, but taking it off was no picnic!
