“THESE PRODUCTS ARE NO LONGER BEING SOLD”
Okay, it’s official—the gladiator has been circling Spring fashion for awhile, and for summer, it has landed smack dab in the middle of the Hot Trend Zone. Which is where we like to hang out (within reason, of course). The gladiator, whether flat or heeled, is one of those dramatic footwear options that can make an outfit, so we’re kind of excited about it. That being said, it can also break an outfit, so the main thing to remember is one of our favorite mantras: Keep It Simple. Some folks can get away with a floral dress, statement necklace, giant clutch and gladiator sandals (umm, think Sarah Jessica Parker) but most of us cannot. Keep it sophisticated—not costumey—by making your gladiators the focal point.

I love the high heeled versions.. I hate the flats, but I hate 90% of all flats, so i am biased in a negative way. I actually bought a pair similar to the first link about a year ago before they really got popular. I really love the style.
Pass. I saw a pair of jelly gladiator sandals at Macy’s last week and I had to avert my eyes.
I like gladiators on other people, but they are just not flattering on me. Sigh…
thanks for the recommendations! i still regret not getting the jeffrey campbell emma gladiator last summer…it would’ve been SO IN now!
Um, yeah, the jelly version’s could mean the trend has jumped the shark, but I’m with auroraskye—the heels are still fab. And I actually do love the look of these Old Navy flat sandals. But the jellies? A BIG don’t all around, in our book.
