The fake debate continues and apparently our friends over at the internet’s number one designer outlet, Bluefly, is caught up in the middle. There’s been quite a bit of chatter on the net regarding Bluefly’s selling of fake handbags, namely Balenciaga and possibly fake Tommy Hilfiger (really, why in the world would anyone need to sell fake Tommy handbags when you can get them for $19.99 at TJ Maxx).
Now, I’ve bought things from Bluefly before and all the things I’ve purchased have been real. However, where there’s smoke, there’s usually a little simmer of fire. I emailed Bluefly
to give them the opportunity to respond and here’s their response:
Yep, nothing….

Typical…can I ask if the USA TJ Maxx is the same as the UK TK Maxx?
Good work reporting on this TBF! Please keep investigating, I’m dying to hear more about this.

that last part was funny…(“yep nothing”)
When did you email them? How long has it been?
It’s true. They are sporting a necklace by Emma and Me Too which is knocking off of Emma and Me but they fail to mention that. They try to pass it off as the real one which sells for 225 dollars and if you compare the pictures the diamond settings are different.
I’d be wary with Bluefly. Some of the things are fake.
I just picked up a pair of jeans that were fake from bluefly. returned them ten mintues ago, but they are branded Paper Denim, but have Banana Republic rivets and Buttons. pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
I just returned a Chloe Paddington that I bought from Bluefly. I am 95% sure it was fake or at best a second (if Chloe even releases seconds?), though it was an excellent fake. The differences were very subtle - for example the Chloe name on the padlock was not vertically centered, it was set toward the bottom. I did not take it to a store to verify, but I am almost positive it was fake.
YES, BLUEFLY SELLS FAKES! I bought a Prada bag from them a year ago. I believed in their legitimacy b/c I seen ads in Lucky and Glamour, surely they would not advertise or endorse counterfiting? The Prada bag had cheap leather handles..a day later the strap ripped! I had one heck of a time with BlueFly. They refused to refund, I sent it back ..they sent it to a “leather repair shop” for three weeks that glued the strap!!!!!! It broke again, I fought for 7 weeks to get a refund minus shipping costs. Take it from me- Plan a trip to a Outlet Center like Coach or Burberry, ect. Outta- of -this- world deals that you will not feel sorry for!!! You know they are real!
YES, BLUEFLY SELLS FAKES, I BOUGHT SOME $300.00 PLUS FRETTE SHEETS AND THEY WERE SO TERRIBLE I KNOW SOMETHING WAS UP..I CALLED FRETTE AND THEY DO NOT SELL TO BLUEFLY..I CALLED BLUEFLY AND THEY DID REFUND MY MONEY BUT WOULD NOT ADMIT THEY WERE FAKE..
