Dana Buchman Kohl’s Line: The Good and Bad

This post may contain affiliate links*

When the Dana Buchman line of accessories hit Kohl’s in 2009, we weren’t impressed. Back then, we criticized the icky salmon color that the Dana Buchman line overused, the poor quality of the fabrics, and the lack of depth in the plus-size line.

Fast forward a decade and more, and the Dana Buchman line at Kohl’s is still pretty ho-hum. The clothes offering is minimal and on its way out. There are only about two dozen (boring) pieces, all on clearance. Beyond that, your best options are some cute Dana Buchman purses and pieces of jewelry.

Top purses from Dana Buchman Kohl’s line

Coral handbag

The Dana Buchman satchel has classic styling, so you won’t feel awkward about carrying it next season. It’s available in black and a floral print, but this coral feels just right — especially in spring and summer. And if you had any doubts about the versatility of this handbag, check the reviews. It has a perfect, five-star rating.

Crocodile wristlet

You can snag this wristlet in 15 different colors and patterns, but the faux crocodile is a versatile choice for year-round use. The price is right too at $39.

You might be thinking this crossbody looks pretty basic. And you’d be right. It looks very similar to black bags you might see for $40 at Ross or TJ Maxx. What’s interesting about this bag, though, is its size. It’s about 10 inches high and 10 inches wide, which is larger than those other cheaper options. The price point here is $49.

Dana Buchman jewelry at Kohl’s

Jewelry makes up the bulk of the Dana Buchman Kohl’s line. To be more specific, there are about 20 purses, a dozen garments, and hundreds of jewelry pieces. Prices range from $16 to $36 and the collection includes lots of necklaces and earrings mostly, with a few bracelets too.

As with the purses, the Dana Buchman jewelry line is, well, just OK. There are some cute styles, but nothing unique or all that interesting. Plus, you have to scroll past way too many gaudy, old-lady pins. I just don’t know anyone stylish who wears a pin — which is a nice word for brooch.

My favorite designs from the Dana Buchman jewelry line at Kohl’s are the drop earrings, like these black dangling bars or the designs adorned with colored Swarovski crystals.

Sadly, there’s not much else to see here.

I purchased the Dana Buchman top I didn't try it on cause I wear a Medium so I brought it home & didnt try it on for a few days its snug. The material & style I love, does she make her products smaller, it's almost looks like I gained a few!! 😑☹️ Does anyone feel the same way as I do.

Love the Dana Buchman Cup Sleeve summer tops. I wish she made them in Navy, Brown, Red and Chocolate. I've bought 9 of them this year. Love them.

i saw my mom admiring a d. buchman purse n wanted 2 buy it 4 xmas.the original price was $165 and w/the sale it came to $55(kohls seems to be famous 4 their sales but it seems obvious that the prices are jacked up so that when they have a 'sale' u feel like u actually saved something).now that ive read the reviews i think i'll buy something else.too bad-the purse LOOKED gorgeous.
