Here at TBF, we’re marking our calendars for February 10, the start of the Chinese New Year (Year of the Snake). How could we not be excited? With satiny fabrics and snakeskin textures, we’re psyched about stepping out in affordable Chinese-inspired fashions.
Even better: the first day of the Chinese New Year marks the beginning of a 15 day stretch of celebrations filled with feasts, firecrackers and well-wishes. We’re thrilled about having 15 days of opportunities to rock the look of Chinese good fortune without spending a fortune.
Rest assured, I’ve got my eye on the snakeskin pumps featured in this post. Well, maybe the red drape dress, too. Heck, I’ll probably end up with almost everything shown. In any event, I’ll be chatting it up with friends as we celebrate love, health and prosperity over a dish of sesame beef (my fave, for what it’s worth). Say hi if you see me . . . I’ll be the one decked out in the aforementioned heels, marking off my calendar for next year when I’ll have the pleasure of celebrating the Chinese New Year in style all over again.
