No one does on-trend fashion (and winter coats) like H&M. The on-trend coats, which are translated from high-end brands (especially Marni), are extremely reasonably priced (most are below $100) and, if you can find them, go up to a size 16.

I got a wonderful Larry Levine 3/4 length down jacket at Daffy’s last year. It was only $49.99. It held up wonderfully and was SO warm. Carolyn also has a good suggestion with Burlington Coat Factory. The designer discounters (Marshalls, TJ Maxx, etc) always have a great selection of basic coats.
