What: Breast Cancer Awareness Bracelets from Payless

The Lowdown: Payless is giving you a chance to “Embrace the Cause” by purchasing a Breast Cancer Awareness Bracelet, for a paltry two bucks. You can do that, and feel especially good about it because Payless is donating 100% of the net profits to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $100,000. As if doing your part wasn’t enough, Payless is adding an extra bonus to your bracelet purchase, with a $5 off $25 coupon.

Is it just me or has the cause of breast cancer awareness become uber-commercial? Granted that october is breast cancer awareness month, but I can’t go anywhere without seeing someone trying to sell me something in support of awareness. I’m all for helping a cause, really, I am. But all this pink is driving me insane. It seems to me that all retailers want to do is make a buck off of our good intentions.

This sounds fantastic!  I probably wouldn’t like the style of bracelet if it were for anything else.  But for this cause I would wear it very often.

I’d usually be one to agree with you Sarah, but when 100% of the profit goes to the cause, what is the problem? They aren’t requiring you to use the $5 coupon, it just sweetens the deal.

I found I had breast cancer in April 08 and it’s the first bracelet that I have seen that I would enjoy wearing. Since findidng this cancer, I am more aware of money being raised to help with research to make sure I’m here to enjoy my grandchildren! Thanks to Payless for having a bracelet that is reasonable to purchase and share. - Teresa

Great article and good information and although most breast cancers begin as lumps or tumors, inflammatory breast cancer usually starts with a feeling of thickness or heaviness in the breast.
Inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) is a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer. Breast Cancer
