What: Stand out when you go out, with “Cleopatra eyes.”
What the experts say: Allure.com says recent European runway fashion shows like Prada and Dior were full of lanky models sporting painted wings…on their lids. “When balanced with an otherwise neutral face, black winged liner looks artsy—and edgy.”
What we say: Call it edgy if you want, but this is not a new look. Everyone from Twiggy to Amy Winehouse (who looks more like she just got attacked by a Sharpie) has sported a version of it at one time or another. But if you’re heading out for a festive evening, this look done subtly could be more glamor queen than “Rehab” crooner. Starting at the inner corner of your eye, follow your upper lash line with black liquid liner, thickening the line as you extend it, then wing the line up slightly past the outer corners.
