It’s Official: Beyoncé is the new face of H&M

Lady B’s quest to world domination now includes a starring role at H&M.  Beyoncé’s latest partnership with the Swedish retailer’s summer campaign is “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M.”  And in true Bey fashion (no pun attended), she’s not only modeling the designs, but she helped create them. “What makes these pieces even more special is that Beyoncé herself had input in the designs, and they are full of her own personal style,” H&M’s head of design Ann-Sofie Johansson said in a release.

Sure, Bey (coupled with earnings from a certain Mr. Carter better known as Jay-Z) may make more moolah than a small nation, but she’s always been a fan of H&M’s budget style. “I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements – fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial,” she said.

The summer collection will be sold worldwide in May.
