What: Beyoncé and her mom Tina Knowles are launching a new junior clothing line just in time for the back-to-school season. The new collection, dubbed Sasha Fierce for Deréon, is set to include sportswear, outerwear, handbags, footwear, eyewear, lingerie and jewelry. It’ll be sold at department stores such as Macy’s and Dillard’s and specialty stores including Jimmy Jazz and Against All Odds, with wholesale prices ranging from $25 to $75.
What Tina Knowles Says:
“When the tour started, we noticed the definite style of it,” Tina [Knowles] explained. “Thierry Mugler designed the clothes for the tour, but we really wanted to celebrate the style and interpret that into a collection.”
What We Say: Uhhh…. Seriously? The only place we see the House of Dereon collection is on the sales rack of our local Macys and Marshalls. Are we the only ones who think Beyonce’s
“alter ego” is kinda of, well, corny? She’s an awesome performer, no doubt, but we think singing is her forte, NOT designing clothing.

Reading through my magazines, I am always underwhelmed to see another Dereon ad where the clothes are plain awful… Beyonce, being as talented as she is, could put her talent and money to much better use.
Beyonce is that entertainer you loved to watch grow up and become a beautiful woman. I understand she wants to be the best and leave no field untouched, but when it comes to acting and designing clothes…..Ms. B, that’s not where your strength is. Stick to singing, being fabulous on red carpets and letting real designers keep you looking hot. Leave the clothing lines and acting jobs, to more experienced/talented people! No hate, just truth, I love you Ms. B!!
Every season I only see one piece of clothing from her HOD I would wear. Most of it is god awful. Her mom is now taking that crap and putting her name to it and selling it as “Miss Tina” on HSN. I feel for the older middle aged women who buy it off of television. TACKY, TACKY TACKY!!! I love B., but designing is not it. And another thing, do these people realize that having logos on everything is out of fashion?
@shopista.. thank you! If I see another pair of jeans with an apple on the bottom.. I will puke
