Great Mascara on a Budget

Great mascara is a make-up must, so we asked you for your favorite budget mascaras and you offered plenty of worthy options:

-It seems all you ladies can’t get enough of L’Oreal: the brand’s Voluminous mascara was your best drugstore bet for budget mascara.

-Cover Girl came in a close second, thanks to their LashBlast, Fantastic Lash and Volume Exact mascaras.

-The third contenders for best mascara on a budget were Rimmel London’s Sexy Curves mascara and Glam Eyes mascara.

-A couple readers liked Jane Max Lash for it’s non-brittle formula and inexpensive drugstore price.

-Maybelline Full ‘N Soft Mascara was a reader favorite for it’s $6 price tag, and lengthening and thickening abilities.

-When you do decide to break your budget and buy more expensive mascara, you choose department store brands like Lancome Defincils mascara and Clinique High Impact Mascara

My mascara collection runs the gammit. There’s blue, pink, $50, $5. You name it, I’ve tried it. Maybelline Great Lash is the tried and true for me. It’s super cheap full price so there no waiting for sales!

LOVE LOVE LOVE L’Oreal Lash Blast. Especially in Very Black. This stuff really brings out my eyes and is great for that night time look. I’m not a big fan of any other type of mascara listed, accept Lancome Definicils. You really can’t go wrong with either.

I’m loyal to Lancome’s Defincils, but I read in NYT last week a makeup artist swear by L’oreal Voluminous so I guess I’ll give it a try.

I love Cover Girl Volume Exact and Lash Exact. My lashes are soft, defined, and glossy, and they remove easily with cleanser and water. I use the lash primer from Clinique for a great base coat. Buying inexpensive mascaras (with a primer) is the best tip I have for getting a perfect look- you can afford to toss them more often for a smooth application. When they start to dry out, bye bye!

I’ve come to love Loreal Lash Extend. It’s great for adding length to your lashes and it’s waterproof also!

L’Oreal Voluminous and Cover Girl Lash Blast are two of my top rated mascaras too. I haven’t liked Rimmel London’s in the past, but maybe I’ll give the Glam Eyes one a chance, Rimmel is so inexpensive it’s worth a shot.
