Beauty Trend: Pink Cheeks

| January 1, 2008 07:00 PM | Posted in

What: That flushed, outdoorsy look is really in. No pinching needed.

What the experts say: At a recent Zac Posen fashion show, makeup artist Charlotte Tillbury toned down models’ eyes and lips and played up their cheek apples with a pinky-peach cream blush. “It’s sort of like a New York modern day Snow White, says Tillbury. “That’s how modern women want to look.

What we say: It is? Well, if the look comes with seven dwarfs who cook, clean, and take care of household chores, then bring it on. But really, soft, pretty colored cheeks is a quick and easy look to achieve, especially when you don’t have time to tend to your lids, lashes and lips. You can either take a fast jog around your block for a “fresh and winteryâ€? face, or get yourself a pink or peach cream blush, dab it onto the apples of your cheeks and blend back toward your cheekbones. And the great thing about cream blush over powder blush is it tends to last longer so there’s not much need to reapply. MAC isn’t the cheapest in the cream blush category at $17.50 for Brit Wit Blushhcreme (the best color ever), but it is worth the money. e.l.f. All Over Color Stick in Pink Lemonade works well, too, and is only $1!
