Every time we buy bananas, they always seem to go brown before we can use them. If you’re tired of making banana bread and don’t want to just throw them away, here’s a great, simple recipe for a banana smoothie. Use blueberries or any other type of berry you have on hand (frozen or fresh).
Add protein powder for extra protein, or some wheat germ for extra fiber.
In a blender, combine:
1 ripe banana
1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
1 cup nonfat plain yogurt
Â½ cup milk
Blend on high speed until smooth. Makes two servings.
