The Lowdown: Banana Republic is one of those in-between retailers when it comes to pricing. It’s definitely not a designer boutique like Chanel or Kate Spade, but then again, it’s not exactly Old Navy either (which, by the way, is a sister retailer of Banana). Translation: while Banana falls into the doesn’t-cost-a-down-payment-on-a-home category, goodies at Banana can still be pricey.
