I have been rockin’ size 12 pants for as long as I can remember. I am fixing to start student teaching this spring and finding affordable dress pants is so hard. Last week I walked into TJMaxx and found my favorite dress pants for 14.99! I have had to pay $60-$70 at the store for these pants before. The best part, every shipment or so they receive a new color so my wardrobe has been building to the Maxx…

Wear black! And don’t wear clothing that’s too tight. Hug your curves; don’t squish them.

I also am a big believer in jewelry. Bring on the bling!

The best way to get cloths looking great is to use good quality shapewear. I try not to show too much cleavage – wearing well fitting cloths proper layering keeps me looking sophisticated and stylish!

Don’t assume baggy is best! Fit can be your friend…

Where clothes that fit your body now, and not what you want to fit into someday….way more flattering that way!

find the right pair of jeans that sit high on the hips and go with a boot cut as opposed to a skinny. also, layers offer comfortable coverage and are fun to mix!

Surplice front tops look great on most plus size women. Don’t be afraid of color.

Women with more to love are always told to wear black.  I get tired of wearing black all the time, plus it negatively affects my attitude.  So I balance it out with colorful tops.  Brightens the look and my outlook.

Although not plus sized, I am only 5’2” and ‘bottom heavy’. To draw attention up and camouflage hips & thighs, I look for texture and color in tops – and darker bottoms with tiny pattern, long stripe or just solid. I streamline the look by minimizing contrast – keeping in the same color tones – and wear proper sizes (avoiding bulges and gaps)! TJMaxx offers racks of trendy choices at great prices!

Tip-Don’t be afraid to go up a size.  The number on the tag doesn’t show.  Right now I’m loving wrap dresses, cardigans, and tights.

Don’t wear clothes that are too big! Keep them tailored to fit your body.

Best tip – it starts with the jeans – find a great fitting pair and build your outfit around the jeans.

I love flouncy tops that hit just at or below your hips. I also love drawing the attention up with gorgeous jewelry. Accentuate the positives!

Embrace who you are.  Only buy clothes that fit well.  Pick your best feature and accent it.

I wear what I want. I love jewel tones & find they flatter me most. I look for a good fit that flatters what i do have. Its not always easy in plus size. I read the trends I look through fashion magazines, i find a look I like and tailor it to me & my size. I might wear a classic piece that I pair with something sassy or playful. If you feel good in what you are wearing, it radiates outwards. I love jeans and nothing makes you feel sexier than a great fitting pair.

ignore the size – buy what looks best

I have always found my best pieces on the clearance rack, I then build my outfit from this piece.
